OPTIMISING MOISTURISER USE IN CHILDHOOD ECZEMA
Eczema : A common problem
Eczema can develop at any age; however, most cases emerge during early childhood, typically between 3 and 6 months of age.1
Eczema may be chronic or relapsing; many cases resolve spontaneously, but eczema sometimes persists into adulthood.1,3
Eczema seems to arise from the interaction of genetic and environmental risk factors.1
A child with one or two atopic parent(s) has a 25% and 50% risk of developing eczema or another atopic disease respectively.4
