FlexiSEQ is a licensed medical device that offers a different approach to relieving pain associated with osteoarthritis and joint wear and tear. It contains SEQ Tech™ (Sequessome Technology™), which helps to lubricate joints to improve their mobility and alleviate pain and stiffness.
WHAT ARE SEQUESSOMES?
Sequessomes are phospholipid vesicles; i.e. tiny oily droplets that have particular characteristics that allow them to reach the synovial fluid, which is found between joints.
HOW DO THEY REACH THE JOINTS?2
These tiny vesicles are modified to have optimal characteristics to reach the joints, precisely where they are needed.3,4 They are small, flexible and attracted to water and are able to pass through the skin intact to reach the joint. Sequessomes have been observed inside the joint space and localised to the cartilage surfaces where they create a lubricating layer.
