- EPs are estimated to affect half of men aged 40-70 years9
- This rises to 70% of men over 70 years9
Men may feel that EPs are a reflection of their masculinity. Having EPs can have an impact on their relationship, mental wellbeing, self-esteem and confidence.
Conversation tips
- Remember, it may be the first time your customer has spoken to someone about the issue
- Offer the use of the consultation room to have a private conversation
- Show empathy
- Use the same language that your customer uses
- Making eye contact, smiling and mirroring your customer's body language can all help create rapport
