Customers may find it difficult to understand the wide range of services being offered by a pharmacy. Promoting everything at once can confuse the team and customers. Team members may also struggle to remember everything about all the services available.

A more effective approach could be:

1.
Create a promotional programme that runs through the year defining when team members can focus on specific services. This plan can be co-ordinated with the internal promotional messages and any external advertising or promotion.
2.
Providing timely training and briefing about the service and promotion will be important to ensure the team are confident and knowledgeable.
3.
Creating targets for the store team to achieve on a daily, weekly or monthly basis, with incentives for reaching them, can also help to create a focus, and be a basis for the celebration of success
