The PSNC has compiled a list of key CPCF services dates and deadlines for contractors to be aware of:

  • 1 February 2020

    This is the final day by which contractors must have started their NSAID audit. This will allow contractors to complete the NSAID within four weeks and make their declaration on the final day of the declaration window (28 February 2020) after the pharmacy has closed for the day.

  • 3 February 2020

    PQS: The window opens for contractors to claim for a PQS payment on MYS (this opens at 9am).

  • 28 February 2020

    CPCS: contractors will be paid their £600 supplement to the Transition payment if they registered for CPCS between 2 December 2019 and 15 January 2020 – this will be paid in the Schedule of Payments. PQS: The window closes for contractors to claim for a PQS payment on MYS (this closes at 11.59pm).

  • 31 March 2020

    Flu: 2019/20 Flu Vaccination Service ends. PQS: Deadline for contractors to meet the Sugar Sweetened Beverages quality criterion, if not already done so when they made their PQS declaration.

  • 1 April 2020

    CPCF: As part of the Terms of Service contractors will be required to meet the following:
    • Have a premises shared NHSmail account
    • Pharmacy professionals working at the pharmacy have access to the SCR
    • Update their NHS 111 DoS profile on a quarterly basis and in a timely manner
    • Update their NHS website profile on a quarterly basis and in a timely manner
    • Have access to the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS)
    • Have achieved Healthy Living Pharmacy Level 1 status; and
    • Pharmacy professionals working at the pharmacy have achieved Level 2 safeguarding.

    Discussions are still ongoing with DHSC and NHSE&I on these requirements; PSNC will issue further information through their normal communication channels when available. CPCS: Contractors must have IT equipment accessible within the consultation room to allow contemporaneous records of the consultations provided as part of this service to be made within the CPCS IT system. MURs: Contractors can provide a maximum of 100 MURs between 1 April 2020 and 31 March 2021. Discussions are still ongoing with DHSC and NHSE&I on the target group requirements for these MURs; PSNC will issue further information through their normal communication channels when available. PQS: Contractors will be paid their PQS payment (if they claimed within the required time period).
  • Beginning of April 2020

    MURs/NMS: Contractors are required to submit completed MUR and/or NMS electronic reporting templates to the NHSBSA within 10 working days from the last day of June 2020.

  • Beginning of July 2020

    MURs/NMS: Contractors are required to submit completed MUR and/or NMS electronic reporting templates to the NHSBSA within 10 working days from the last day of June 2020.

  • 31 August 2020

    Flu: Final day for claiming for a flu payment for the 2019/20 Flu Vaccination Service that was administered in February or March 2020 (claims for payments must be made using the NHSBSA MYS platform within six months of the activity taking place, or by 31 August 2020 whichever is the earlier).

  • 1 September 2020

    Flu: 2020/21 Flu Vaccination Service starts.

  • Beginning of October 2020

    MURs/NMS: Contractors are required to submit completed MUR and/or NMS electronic reporting templates to the NHSBSA within 10 working days from the last day of September 2020.

  • Beginning of January 2021

    MURs/NMS: Contractors are required to submit completed MUR and/or NMS electronic reporting templates to the NHSBSA within 10 working days from the last day of December 2020.

  • 31 March 2021

    Flu: 2020/21 Flu Vaccination Service ends.

  • 1 April 2021

    CPCS: Contractors providing CPCS will need to procure their own CPCS IT system. By this time, it is hope that other pharmacy IT suppliers, including PMR system vendors, will have been able to develop support for the CPCS, so that contractors have a choice of potential IT solutions to support the provision of the service. MURs: The MUR service has been decommissioned as of 31st March 2021 therefore contractors can no longer provide this service.

  • Beginning of April 2021

    MURs/NMS: Contractors are required to submit completed MUR and/or NMS electronic reporting templates to the NHSBSA within 10 working days from the last day of March 2021.
