After considering the evidence, Joanne decides Alison has committed an act of misconduct and behaved inappropriately towards a colleague. As Alison has a live final written warning, Joanne decides to terminate her employment and make a payment in lieu of notice. Joanne reconvenes the disciplinary hearing and tells Alison her decision.

Alison is then asked to return her company property and leave the premises. Joanne confirms her decision in writing and notes that Alison can appeal against the decision should she wish. Alison does not submit an appeal.
