This Train Your Team checklist provides support and information to run a team training session on digestive health. This content can also be used for your own CPD.
Reflection
- How well do we check customer requests for products that may be indicative of a more serious GI condition?
- Do we focus on appropriate lifestyle advice for customers who may overindulge during the festive period?
- Do we take the opportunity to encourage appropriate customers to attend the GP for cancer screening?
- Are we alert to the signs and symptoms of possible bowel cancer?
- Do we take the opportunity to engage customers on issues of weight management, alcohol consumption and smoking?
- Do we consider the use of probiotics in bowel conditions?
- Do we have information to hand on the various self-help groups for GI conditions?
