module menu icon Confirming a pregnancy

The most obvious symptom of being pregnant is missing a period, but women may also experience some of the following:

  • Morning sickness – this nausea and/or vomiting can occur at any time of the day or night
  • Tender or swollen breasts
  • Increased urination, especially at night
  • Tiredness
  • Food aversions or cravings
  • Mood swings
  • Constipation
  • Increased vaginal discharge.

Remember!

The situation surrounding some people’s visit to a pharmacy to purchase pregnancy tests may not be a positive one. All conversations about conception and pregnancy should therefore be approached cautiously and sensitively in the first instance.
