Helping your customers to manage their skin
Your knowledge and advice is vital when advising customers on emollients. Careful questioning is also important, as customer preference is a principal driver for emollient uptake and adherence. Studies have shown that customers need to be satisfied with the texture and absorption of the emollient to help ensure compliance, which is an important factor for managing skin conditions.17
You have a key role to play by:
- Understanding customer preferences
- Recommending the right product that suits their needs and provides long-lasting results. This will give customers the confidence to manage their dry skin and encourage them to return with any queries
- Educating customers on the importance of regular use
