Remember the cat or dog must be at least eight weeks old, and the cat weigh at least 1 kg and the dog at least 2kg.

Using Frontline Plus regularly every four weeks, all year round will help prevent flea and tick infestations in the future

To clear the infestation she should treat them for at least three months. But to prevent future infestation, year-round treatment is recommended, especially in the warmer months when fleas are more prevalent.

To clear the infestation in the house she just needs to vacuum everywhere

In addition to treating her pets you should suggest she:

• Regularly vacuums carpets and furnishings and washes all pets’ bedding at 60ËšC
• Uses a household spray containing an insect growth regulator (IGR) e.g. Frontline HomeGard
• Allows treated pets access to all their usual areas to encourage any fleas in the home to hatch, jump onto the pet and be killed.

Frontline Plus is the same as Frontline Spot On

Frontline Spot On kills fleas and ticks on the pet. Frontline Plus not only does this but also stops flea eggs from hatching in the home, providing additional protection.

Explain that fleas may become more visible after treatment as fipronil kills them by making them hyperactive

This is actually a sign the product is working. It is normal to see fleas on a treated pet as no product stops fleas from jumping onto pets, but they will be killed within 24 hours.
