The strip format consists of an orodispersible film containing 2.5 mg nicotine. It is indicated for light smokers who smoke their first cigarette 30 minutes or more after waking. The manufacturer claims that a strip relieves the urge to smoke 50 seconds after administration.

A strip is placed on the tongue. The mouth is closed and the tongue pressed to the roof of the mouth until the film is dissolved, in about three minutes.

A 12-week treatment schedule, in three steps, is recommended. This consists of one strip every one or two hours for the first six weeks, with a minimum of nine and a maximum of 15 strips daily. This is reduced for the next three weeks to one strip every two to four hours, then one every four to eight hours in the final two weeks.
