Understanding the problem
Some symptoms of Covid-19 can manifest similarly to other illnesses, such as a cold or the flu. Most people will experience mild to moderate symptoms and not require hospitalisation. Due to the evolving nature of the virus, the list of symptoms it has been known to cause is somewhat extensive.
Most common symptoms
- A high temperature or shivering
- A new and continuous cough
- Tiredness
- Loss or change to taste or smell
- Shortness of breath.
Other symptoms
- Sore throat
- Headache
- Aches and pains
- Diarrhoea
- A blocked or runny nose
- Loss of appetite
- Feeling sick or being sick.
