When to refer
Refer to the pharmacist anyone who:
- Has symptoms that have changed or worsened
- Has pain or discomfort when urinating
- Has urine that is cloudy or has blood in it
- Has repeated episodes of urinary tract infections (e.g. cystitis)
- Is taking prescribed medication.
Remember
Sanitary towels are not recommended for bladder weakness as they are not designed to absorb large amounts of liquid. Instead, customers should choose specialist bladder weakness products, which are designed to absorb urine, prevent leaks and mask unwanted odour.
