Haleon has announced the appointment of Jo Cooper as general manager for its UK and Ireland division, replacing Bas Vorsteveld.
Ms Cooper, who took up the role on January 1, previously held the position of head of commercial excellence for the OTC company’s Europe, Middle East & Africa and Latin America (EMEA & LATAM) markets.
She began her career with GlaxoSmithKline in 2013 and joined the Haleon business upon its 2021 demerger from GSK.
Ms Cooper said: “I am thrilled to take on the role of leading Haleon’s UK and Ireland business, my home market.
“Having experienced first-hand the exceptional talent and dedication within the UK & Ireland team and the Northern Europe business unit, I am eager to collaborate and drive the next level of growth together, continuing to develop our vision for delivering consumer-first healthcare.
Jon Workman, Haleon’s general manager for Northern Europe, commented: “[Jo] brings outstanding experience and an incredible track record in strong leadership positions.
“After playing such a critical role in delivering the EMEA & LATAM commercial agenda over the last three years, her experience, relationship with retail partners and growth mindset is perfectly placed to continue to drive the momentum of the UK and Ireland business into the next phase.”
