A “high dispensing” pharmacy located “ideally close to a GP surgery” in the Surrey village of Lightwater has been sold to London-based operators, broker Christie & Co has reported.
Lightwater Pharmacy, a standard-hours business dispensing an average of 10,746 items per month, was sold for an undisclosed price to college friends Rahul Dodhia and Shreedhar Patel, who each have their own pharmacies in and around North West London.
The pair said: “We are delighted to be taking over Lightwater Pharmacy and to be able to continue and build on all the hard work of the previous owner, Indy Johal, who will be missed by the local community.
“We wish him the best in his retirement and hope we can use our experience to grow the pharmacy and business even further.”
Christie & Co director Mark Page commented: “It was a pleasure to work on this exceptionally smooth transaction in the affluent town of Lightwater in Surrey.
“The pharmacy is a real hub in the local community and I’m sure the new owners will enjoy serving the town as much as our client did during his 14-year tenure.”
