What's the scenario?
Technician Vicky greets healthcare assistant Jamila as she comes into the pharmacy and offers to hang up Jamila’s hoodie, which is tied around her waist.
“I know it doesn’t look very professional, but can I leave it please Vicky?” asks Jamila plaintively. She beckons Vicky into the kitchen and drops her voice to a whisper. “I’ve got my period and I’ve leaked onto my trousers. I’ll go the toilet and sort myself out, but I’m just so heavy at the moment, it’s hard to stay on top of it.”
“I thought you said you were going to see the doctor about this?” replies Vicky with concern. “It’s been like this for a few months, and must be exhausting for you.”
“Oh, everyone’s tired, aren’t they?” says Jamila. “It seems such a silly thing to see the doctor about. I mean, what will they say? “Use more absorbent sanitary products?” I just need to get on with it. It’s not as if anything can be done.”
