Last month, our pharmacy technician CPD module looked at hypertension case finding (read more here). In this new series of modules, we explore hypertension in greater detail.

This is an important topic since hypertension is the third biggest risk factor for premature death and disability in England, and at least half of all strokes and heart attacks are associated with hypertension. 

Community pharmacy technicians are well placed to help identify patients with undiagnosed hypertension and support those who are known to have the condition.
