The NHS recommends a number of apps that can help with mental health, both proactively and reactively. Many are free of charge and can be accessed by the NHS App Library, for example:
• Silver Cloud: an eight-week online course to help manage stress, anxiety and depression
• Feeling Good: a series of audio tracks designed to help build a positive mindset
• WorryTree: helps users notice and address negative thoughts using cognitive behavioural therapy techniques.
The NHS also recommends certain organisations and online resources, including those from Mind, Anxiety UK and Samaritans, as well as the ‘Living Life To The Full’ online courses, which can help people tackle low mood and stress and develop resilience.
