There are many causes of kidney decline: congenital; inherited; and disease specific, such as diabetes or hypertension.
It is important to be aware that different medical conditions will put patients at risk of renal decline, such as CKD and/or AKI, it’s important for pharmacy technicians to understand how to support patients to keep their kidneys healthy for longer.
