Emergency contraception is indicated after:
- Unprotected sexual intercourse
- Use of the withdrawal method or ejaculate on external genitalia
- Reduced efficacy of other forms of contraception:
- Torn, leaking condom
- Missed pills or if vomiting occurred
- Late implant or injection
- Detached contraceptive patch.
