  • Unprotected sexual intercourse
  • Use of the withdrawal method or ejaculate on external genitalia
  • Reduced efficacy of other forms of contraception:
  • Torn, leaking condom
  • Missed pills or if vomiting occurred
  • Late implant or injection
  • Detached contraceptive patch.
