Signposting solutions - chronic joint pain

Signposting is an essential service, so all pharmacies should keep an up-to-date list of support groups and sources of further advice for various groups of patients. In the first of a new series of reference articles, we cover support groups for patients with chronic joint pain

Pain Concern works to support people with pain and those who care for them, whether family, friends or healthcare professionals – offering a ‘Pain Community’. The charity provides information, raises awareness and campaigns to improve the provision of pain management services in the UK. Pain Concern’s ‘Airing Pain’ radio show is a series of audio podcasts featuring the experiences of those coping with, and managing, their everyday pain. There are also interviews with top internationally recognised experts.
