  • Warming up to start flexing the muscles and improve blood circulation

  • Having the right sports gear - clothing and shoes that fit properly will help prevent problems such as rubbing / chafing of the skin and blisters
  • Cooling down activities, including exercising at a gentler pace for five minutes to help waste products in the muscles dissipate, then stretching the muscle groups used in the activity.
