Better identification and management of hypertension will reduce the mortality and morbidity associated with CVD. Community pharmacy teams are ideally placed to support primary care in the identification of people with undiagnosed hypertension through blood pressure checking and ABPM.
By building on their relationships with general practice, community pharmacy teams will have expanding opportunities in hypertension management in the future.
