Welcome to our CPD module series for community pharmacy technicians. Written in conjunction with the Pharmacy Magazine CPD series, it will mirror the magazine’s programme throughout the year. Aim
To explore the role community pharmacy can play in improving outcomes in the identification and management of hypertension.
Objectives
After completing this module, and its online counterpart, pharmacy technicians will be able to:
- Outline the role of community pharmacy teams in identifying patients with hypertension
- Understand why hypertension case-finding is important
- Discuss how services such as blood pressure checks, the New Medicine Service and ongoing support can improve patient outcomes.
