Phoenix UK has struck a deal to distribute Kenvue’s over-the-counter products to pharmacies across the country.
Phoenix UK said the agreement, which started on January 1, is a “reduced wholesaler model” and will “strengthen” its “relationships with community pharmacies,” especially its 5,700 Numark members.
Independent Community Pharmacist has asked Phoenix if it will distribute products only to Numark pharmacies or other pharmacies as well. It is also unclear how long the agreement is for.
Phoenix was selected as one of three wholesalers to distribute Kenvue’s brands which include Nicorette, Aveeno, Neutrogena, Listerine and Benylin.
“This collaboration reinforces our reputation as a trusted leader in pharmaceutical distribution and demonstrates our ambition for OTC growth within the UK wholesale pharmacy market,” Phoenix said.
“Being selected for the reduced wholesaler model highlights the significant progress Phoenix OTC has made in recent years, positioning us as a preferred partner for leading OTC manufacturers.”
Kenvue, an American consumer health company based in New Jersey, was the consumer health division of Johnson & Johnson before the separation of the two businesses in November 2021.
