Focus on CPPE's e-courses

CPPE will be running three live e-courses this year, which offer the chance to work with others and share best practice.

The CPPE e-courses are live, online courses that provide an opportunity to:

  • Learn alongside other pharmacy professionals
  • Focus on a specific area of interest for six-eight weeks
  • Participate in a structured approach to learning.

Learn with others

The live e-course enables participation in active discussion forums, webinars, problem-solving activities and interactions that enable the sharing of best practice. Participants will have the support of an online tutor and other pharmacy professionals with similar interests. To take advantage of these particular features it is necessary to join the course when it runs live. Live courses are available up to three times a year (see below).

Learn on your own

E-courses can be accessed and worked through at any time but if the course isn’t running live as you work through it, you will not be able to interact with other learners.

Courses in 2014

• Life skills: developing your potential

This e-course has been developed to help pharmacy professionals reflect on their personal skill set and identify how to develop a range of life skills to reach their full potential. The programme is suitable for all – whether it is someone just starting out in pharmacy or an experienced healthcare professional reviewing his/her practice. The programme will provide a structured approach to reflect on practice, identify ways to develop potential and learn new skills that will help in a variety of situations, both professional and personal.

• Healthy living pharmacies

This programme has been developed for pharmacy professionals with an interest in healthy living pharmacies, whether they intend to apply for accreditation as part of a local initiative or just want to find out more about what is involved.

• Mental health

This programme is not just for specialists in mental health but is also aimed at generalists. Pharmacy professionals may meet people with a mental health condition in any setting. This course will equip them with the key knowledge, skills and behaviours to help people with mental health conditions get the most from their med- icines and will provide a structured approach to learning.
