Welcome to the second module in our series looking at Dementia. It is based on the Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education (CPPE) focal point programme on Dementia, and is designed to give pharmacy technicians an overview and better understanding of this area of practice.

Learning objectives

  • Be aware of the risk factors associated with dementia
  • Describe the lifestyle changes that can reduce the risk of developing dementia and how patients and carers can be supported to adopt these
  • Recognise the importance of early diagnosis.
