Community pharmacy technology specialist, Cegedim Rx, has named Tracey Robertson as its new managing director in the UK, taking over from Phil Galt.

Bringing more than three decades of experience in digital innovation, Ms Robertson steps into the leadership role after seven years as product and technology director.

Commenting on her appointment, she said: “I’m passionate about looking for smarter ways technology can be adopted to solve the issues keeping frontline teams awake at night. Community pharmacy is the heartbeat of our communities and I’m incredibly proud of the work we do to support it.” 

Earlier this month Cegedim announced that all users of its Pharmacy Manager PMR system will be granted access to its clinical services suite, Pharmacy Services. The aim is to help better equip and support pharmacies in delivering clinical services, including flu vaccinations, hypertension case-finding and Pharmacy First. 

The software supplier is also due to launch soon functionality that will allow patients to track the status of prescriptions digitally via the NHS App.
