CPPE has three learning apps that can be accessed anytime, anywhere €“ even if you only have a spare five minutes...
We live in a fast-paced society and sometimes it can be difficult to find time to complete a learning programme or attend a workshop to support your continuing professional development (CPD).
Help is at hand in the form of three learning apps that take the form of a multiple-choice quiz that is easy to use, quick to complete and fun to do. The questions stimulate further learning which, as well as improving your practice, can help you generate ideas for CPD portfolios.
CPPE e-challenge
The CPPE e-challenge is a regular quiz on what's new and happening in pharmacy, medicines and the NHS. It contains questions on a range of topics, such as pharmacy services, new medicines, legal issues, ethical concerns and recently released reports and research. You can access the e-challenge through the CPPE website or by downloading the CPPE app.
Medicines Quiz app
The Medicines Quiz app provides a selection of quizzes for you to test your knowledge on medicines in specific therapeutic areas, including endocrine, gastrointestinal, respiratory and women's health. If you can't decide which area to focus on, there is a lucky dip option. And you can join the leader board to compare your results with your colleagues.
Medicines Safety app
The Medicines Safety app is a quick way to test your knowledge on high-risk areas for medicines safety incidents. Topics available include insulin, allergies, opioids, anticoagulation, medicines safety, ADRs and transfer of care, with more topics available soon.
All three apps are free to download and are available for both Apple and Android devices.
If you have a spare 15 minutes, also take a look at theLearningpharmacy.com. This online learning community offers interactive, bite-size learning challenges for the whole community pharmacy team. You can use these challenges to learn together, learn on your own or to teach. This website is free to everyone and can be accessed online via a computer or tablet/mobile device.
